The play 'Lucifer Rising' is set to be staged again in a theater in Nepal. On 10th Jestha, director Sahlesh had postponed the play, citing political pressure.

But the director and the production team were unable to gather evidence in this regard, and the team revealed that the play was stopped due to internal disputes. Now, the producer Majhuwa Bagar Janakala has dismissed the director Sahlesh and re-performed the play, said Anil Subba, the chairman of a theater.

‘The producer Majhuwa Bagar Janakala Manch has submitted a written letter signed by the chairman of the organization, Basantnath Lamichhane ‘Chattan’, stating that the writer and director Sahlesh was dismissed from the play for reasons including ‘spreading rumors against the government’ and ‘insulting the entire theater community’. After a long and in-depth discussion with the production team of the play, the actors involved in the play and other responsible parties of the play, it has been agreed to re-perform the play within the script approved by the production organization,’ the statement reads.

According to Chairman Subba, a new agreement has been reached between a theater Nepal and the producer Majhuwa Bagar Janakala Manch. According to the agreement, Ek Theater Nepal has not been responsible for any disruptions related to the theater during the performance of the play and will not be responsible in the future.
