Arrangements have been made to provide income tax exemption for 10 years to those who establish new cinema halls in areas other than metropolitan cities and sub-metropolitan cities. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, while unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 in the federal parliament, stated that this tax exemption has been made in the area of 'investment promotion and protection'.
'I have made arrangements to provide full income tax exemption for the first 10 years to those who establish new cinema halls in areas other than metropolitan cities and sub-metropolitan cities,' Minister Wagle said in his budget speech.
Similarly, he also announced that funds have been allocated for the establishment of the Ethnomusicology Music Center, promoting studies related to music and literature. 'We will promote studies related to music and literature throughout the country. I have allocated funds for the establishment of the Guthi Research Institute and Ethnomusicology Music Center in the premises of the Tripureshwor Mahadev Temple, which is registered in the Rajguthi register,' Wagle said.
The Banepa Indoor Film Studio, which has been given importance in the budget before, has not been included this time.
