'Shambala' has been declared the best film at the 'Critics Awards' of the year 2081 given by the Film Critics Society, Nepal (Fiction). According to a press release released by the society, director Min Bahadur Bham and actress Thinley Lhamo have been declared the best director and best actress for this film.

In this award, which will be distributed in 10 categories, Dayahang Rai has been declared the best actor for 'Gaun Vaa Bato' directed by Naveen Subba. Sound designer Kishore Acharya will win the 'Best Sound Design' award from this film. Society president Samipyaraj Timalsina said that although the results have been made public now due to the latest political developments in the country, the award distribution will be done at the 2082 award ceremony. It has been announced that Sarishma Khatri and Siddharth Pudasaini will be awarded the Best Screenplay/Writing Award for 'Sano Sansar' at the 'Critics Awards 2081', J. Him Lee and Alex Gurvits will be awarded the Best Editing Award for 'Rajaganj', Child Artist Supala Sapkota will be awarded the Special Mention for Acting for 'Boksi Ko Ghar', and 'Purna Bahadur's Sarangi' will be awarded the Special Mention for Best Art Direction.
