Kathaghera Group has reached Karnali and the Far West to present a street play. This street play, 'Batibato', which carries the message of women's empowerment and equal opportunities in labor, is scheduled to be performed in various districts of the Far West.
This play has been prepared under the direction of Sudam Seeke. It is part of the 'Grape 2' project. Director Akanksha Karki has taken the lead in this part.
'Grape 2' works to empower small farmers, women and youth in Nepal and promote sustainable and climate-friendly economic development. Kathaghera is presenting the story under this project, which aims to create employment, increase income and expand opportunities in collaboration with the private sector by including women and youth in the agricultural sector.
The play features actors Venisa Acharya, Navya Siladhar, Navya Adhikari, Susmita Kunwar, Jeevan Dhakal, Vijay Nepal, Prasun Kumar Khatri, Robitmuni Tuladhar. The group of actors had been practicing for a month for this play. A total of 12 members, including 8 actors, a musician, director, coordinator and manager, have now reached the Far West.
