A play is to be made based on the Madan Puraskar-winning novel 'Seto Dharti' by novelist Amar Neupane. Actress Benisha Hamal will play the lead role in the play, the Kantipur Film Academy has said. This will be Benisha's debut performance on stage. The Academy has already started preparations for the production of the play. The Academy has acquired the rights to make a play based on the Madan Puraskar-winning novel 'Seto Dharti'. The Kantipur Theater, located in the academy, has previously staged plays featuring actors from the Nepali film industry. The play has been staged with actresses Rekha Thapa, Jeevan Luitel, Usha Rajak, among others.
The details of all the actors and technicians of 'Seto Dharti' will be made public on the occasion of International Theatre Day (Chait 13), said Prakash Puri, CEO of the Academy.
