'Mr. Nobody Against Putin', directed by Russian filmmaker Pavel Talankin and American filmmaker David Borenstein, who are in exile in Europe, has won the Best Documentary Award at this year's Oscars.

Director Borenstein thanked family, friends and nominees while accepting the award. He also said of the film, "Mr. Nobody Against Putin is about how you lose your country."

"When the government kills people on the streets of our big cities, when we don't speak up, when a wealthy elite controls the media and controls how we produce and consume it - we all face a moral choice. But fortunately, the average person is more powerful than you think," he continued.
