In a recent interview, Imtiaz was asked who he would like to cast if a modern version of 'Jab We Met' is made. In response, he said, 'At this time, I think Sharvari and Vedant can be suitable.'

Ali has also announced his next big project. Although the title of the film is not yet decided, it will feature famous singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role.
The film will also star veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah along with Vedant Raina and Sharvari Wagh.
'Jab We Met', which released in 2007, was made on a low budget of just Rs 15 crore. However, due to its strong storyline and songs, the film did a business of around Rs 48.61 crore worldwide.
