The audience has been wanting a sequel to the film for years. This time, director Imtiaz Ali has given a new hint. Director Ali has indicated that young stars Sharvari and Vedant Raina would be suitable if the film is made.
In a recent interview, Imtiaz was asked who he would like to cast if a modern version of 'Jab We Met' is made. In response, he said, 'At this time, I think Sharvari and Vedant can be suitable.'
Vedant and Sharvari are working together in Imtiaz Ali's upcoming project. That is why fans are hoping for a sequel to the film.
Ali has also announced his next big project. Although the title of the film is not yet decided, it will feature famous singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role.
The film will also star veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah along with Vedant Raina and Sharvari Wagh.
'Jab We Met', which released in 2007, was made on a low budget of just Rs 15 crore. However, due to its strong storyline and songs, the film did a business of around Rs 48.61 crore worldwide.
It remains to be seen what kind of stir the sequel to this film, which is considered one of the best in the careers of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, will create in Bollywood.
