The film 'Lalima', which tells the story of a sex worker, is set to hit the screens from Falgun 29. Director Roshan Miraj has said that he made the film because it was not possible to show the situation of sex workers in depth in a documentary.

'We have been working closely with sex workers for the last 20 years. When we tried to make a documentary, they did not want to appear on screen for fear of revealing their identity. That is why they were ready to open up about their situation, problems and pain before making a film,' said director Miraj.

Presented by Faith Astha, this film stars Roshni Karki, Usha Rajak, Jeevan Bhattarai, Sushma Niraula, Ghanshyam Joshi, Sabin Kattel and Shishir Wangdel in the lead roles.

The film is being distributed by National Cine Group Nepal.
