Marigold School's 'Poetry' wins first place in one-act competition

From the one-act play that won first place in the competition, theater artist Pushparaj Awasthi won the title of Best Director and Simple Nepal won the title of Best Artist.

Marigold School's 'Poetry' wins first place in one-act competition

The one-act play 'Kavita' from Marigold School in Bhaktapur has won first place in the one-act play competition organized by the Arts and Literature Club of the Global School of Science on Magh 16.

Seven schools from Kathmandu Valley participated in the competition.

Theatre artist Pushparaj Awasthi, who won the first place in the competition, won the title of Best Director and Simple Nepal won the title of Best Artist. Marigold School received a prize of Rs. 15,000.

Valley View School won the second place for the one-act play 'Katputali' and won a prize of Rs. 10,000, while Reliance School won the third place for the one-act play 'Drishya' and won a prize of Rs. 5,000.

The chairman of the program and the head of the organizing committee, student Samrudraj Gautam, spoke about the objective of the program and said that the main approach is to provide a common platform for young artists at the school and college level to showcase their talents.

The chief guest of the program, Hisan Chairman Yubaraj Sharma, mentioned that the program organized by the students is exemplary. He said that creative activities contribute significantly to the confidence, discipline and overall personality development of the students.

The judges of the competition were Kumar Acharya and Manish Rawat.
