'Shambala' director Min Bham has become an international jury member of the world-renowned Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).

Bham has been selected as a jury member from Nepal for the main competition at the 76th edition of the festival.

Earlier, 'Shambala' directed by Meen had created history by being selected for the first time from Nepal in the main competition at the Berlinale. Meen has reached there representing Nepal in the jury group led by German director Wem Winders as the jury president, along with other juries from India, Japan, South Korea, and the United States.

This group will now distribute the festival's biggest awards, the Golden and Silver Bears. Earlier, in 2011, Aamir Khan was the only one from South Asia to get the opportunity to be a jury member.

Meen says that even though he had a dream of reaching such a festival with a film, he did not expect to be a jury member.

'It was my dream as a filmmaker to reach such a festival with a film.' "But, I never thought I would be a jury," Meen told Kantipur, "I am happy to be a jury member of the main competition. I used to reach this place with a low-budget film, so I am very happy to go like this. But, I am disappointed that I am out of the country when elections are held."
