Winter, that means awards season. The awards season has begun again with the 83rd edition of the Golden Globes. This year, the Golden Globe Awards, held on January 11, were dominated by Leonardo DiCaprio's 'One Battle After Another'.
With this film, 'Hamnet' also managed to make a strong hold on the Golden Globes. In the TV category, Netflix's 'Adolescence' is ahead.
'Hamnet' directed by Chloe Zhao won the 'Best Film (Musical/Comedy)' award at the Golden Globes this year in the drama category. Similarly, Leonardo's film proved to be excellent in the 'Best Film - Musical/Comedy' category.
'One Battle After Another' won the Golden Globes this year in the categories of Best Supporting Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay.
'The Secret Agent' won the Best Foreign Language Film award, while 'A Pup Demon Hunters' became 'Best Animated Film'. Actress Jessie Buckley won the Best Actress award from 'Hamnet'.
Similarly, Wagner Moura won the award for Best Actor (Drama) for 'The Secret Agent'. He was nominated for the second time at the Golden Globe with this film.
Rose Byrne won the award for 'Best Actress - Musical/Comedy' for 'If I Had a Leg I Had Kicked You'. Timothy Samlet won the award for Best Actor in the same category for 'Marty Supreme'.
This year's much-talked-about film 'Sinners' won two awards for 'Best Cinematography' and 'Box Office Achievement'.
