The censor controversy surrounding the release of actor Thalapathy Vijay's film 'Jana Nayakan' has been resolved following the Madras High Court's order.

The film, which was stalled due to not getting a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India, is now set to be released without further hindrance.

The film was scheduled to be released in theaters on January 9. However, after the CBFC delayed issuing the certificate, the producer filed a writ petition in the Madras High Court. The petition stated that the certification could be stopped without any concrete reason and could cause huge financial loss.

Hearing the case, the High Court ruled in favor of the filmmaker. The court held that the CBFC chairman did not have the authority to send the film to the review committee and quashed the letter regarding the delay in certification issued on January 6. It has also directed the board to issue the certificate for the film immediately.

Following the court order, it has been decided to give a 'UA' certificate to 'Jana Nayakan'. After discussing the objections raised by the review committee and advisory panel in the CBFC meeting, it was agreed to give a UA certificate.

The court has warned that giving importance to such complaints could become a dangerous trend. With this, the censor controversy surrounding 'Jana Nayakan' has completely ended.

After this decision, the path for the film's release has been completely cleared.  'Jana Nayakan' is produced by Venkat K. Narayan under the banner of KVN Productions.
