The film 'Viral Gorkhe' is being screened across Nepal on Magh 1. Its theme focuses on social media.

Actor Saugat Malla has said that the film will provide entertainment as well as a message to those who are trying to become 'viral' worldwide amid the growing dominance of social media.

'If the theme of the film was only related to 'TikTok', I would probably have acted, but society and the environment are also connected there. The desire of a common person to go viral and the ups and downs it causes are included in the film,' he said, 'As much effort is needed to go viral, so is the effort to stay there. The film will be successful in attracting the audience in the current environment.'

After reading the script of 'Viral Gorkha', he accepted the offer and joined the film, finding that it included a timely theme that provided entertainment.

'This is the journey of a character called Virus-Virus, who is not even viral, until he goes viral. Even after that, the audience enjoys it, it is touching. It has also satirized some current trends,' said actor Malla.

Actress and former Miss Nepal Shristi Shrestha, after being offered the role, wondered why she didn't think of this topic when she read the script. 'The story covers the positive and negative effects of social media, and what people do to go viral. It is relevant to the times, and everything is shown in a satirical manner,' she said.
