A collection of blood donation and blood donation awareness songs, 'Let's do blood donation in a musical atmosphere!', has been launched.
The six songs presented by the Nepal Volunteer Blood Donor Society Kathmandu Metropolitan Committee with the support of the Prempurna Sanumainya Asahaya Service Fund and the management of Event Solution were jointly released by Bhikkhu Kondanya Mahasthavir, Patron of Prempurna Sanumainya Asahaya Service Fund Sanumainya Karmacharya, Bhikkhus Nagit, Suddhiko, Buddhadatta and Shraddhachari Gurumaan.

The chief guest of the program, Buddhist monk Kaudinya Mahaavahastavir, inaugurated the program by handing over a blood collection bag to Nirjala Dulal, who has turned 18. On the occasion, he mentioned the importance of sacrifice and donation in the teachings of Buddha and said, 'When you say donation, it is not just about property, but donating your blood without telling anyone and donating your life is the greatest sacrifice.'
Senior musician Manaraja Nakarmi said that it was his life's privilege to provide music for a sacred and humanitarian cause like blood donation.
The composer of the songs and Nepal's most prolific blood donor Premsagar Karmacharya, noting that composers and musicians are always overlooked in music, said that the composer is a character who reflects the essence of music. He had first brought a blood donation awareness song titled 'Raktadaan gari gaaran jeevandan…'. In which the music and vocals were composed by senior musician Ramesh Shrestha.
At the program, the chief guest Mahasthavir handed over a letter of congratulations to Nirjala, a volunteer blood donor who donated blood on the occasion of her 18th birthday. Similarly, the composer Karmacharya and musician Nakarmi, along with the artists who contributed to the blood donation awareness song, were honored with a letter of appreciation by the chief guest Bhikkhu Kaudinya Mahaavahastavir.
On that occasion, Prem Sagar, the central president of the Nepal Voluntary Blood Donor Society, distributed certificates of appreciation to all those who donated blood.
