What is behind the success of the film 'Sitare Zameen Par', which was released on June 20?
Actor Aamir Khan, who participated in the recently concluded ‘Hindustan Times Leadership Summit’, spoke about this. He was asked, ‘How do you bring an audience to the theater these days?’
Amidst the perception in Bollywood circles that nothing but action, superhero or grand films are shown in theaters, Aamir gave a meaningful answer.
He said, ‘I always believe in the story. Be it action or thriller. The story should be good. Technology may change, but people connect with the story-emotion. This is the most fundamental thing in my work.’
What kind of response did you get regarding ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ that surprised you?’ Aamir was asked.
In response, he said, ‘The audience’s response was very emotional. It was especially touching to see the happiness of neuro-atypical people, their families, parents, siblings. I think this community really made the film its own. The film also managed to connect with the general audience around the world.'
Aamir is also busy with his upcoming projects. Some time ago, he announced a film called 'Happy Patel' under his home production.
He will also be seen in the film 'Lahore 1947' directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
