Nepali-American folk fusion group Himalayan Highway performed at Moksha in Lalitpur on Saturday evening to mark its third anniversary.

Known for their beautiful fusion of American bluegrass and Nepali folk music, the group performed new and old songs on Saturday.

The program, which was held from 7 to 9 pm, attracted the audience with new material prepared in recent months by the group members, including mandolin player Joey Levitt, who returned to Nepal after living in the United States for about a year.

Himalayan Highway was founded in Kirtipur in 2022.

They have been experimenting with originality as well as new combinations of sarangi, mandolin, acoustic guitar, madal, and tabla. The group includes fourth-generation sarangi player Prince Nepali from Kirtipur, American mandolinist and singer Joey Levitt, guitarist Anish Tamang from Hetauda, ​​and percussionist Yushon Maharjan from Kirtipur.

The program was held in Moksha, Lalitpur. Tickets were available for 800 (advance booking) and 1000 (at the door). The group is preparing to release their first EP in 2026.
