After meeting her in Kathmandu two days ago, the secret of Tripti's return to Nepal was revealed. 'You know, I came here after 18 years,' Tripti said with a warm and intimate smile.

She continued to decorate a new world in Nepali films through Marathi and Hindi screens. The eyes of the familiar audience, who were satisfied with her acting skills in every film, were always searching - where did Tripti Nadkar disappear?

The insatiable eyes of the audience were waiting to see her in the film. The audience here could never forget her, who had dominated Nepali films since 'Samjhana' in 1983.

What stopped Tripti, who has decorated the beautiful world in Nepali films, from coming to Nepal for so many years? What caused the distance from the film industry to increase? Instead, her son Dheeraj Nadkar made his debut in Nepali films with ‘Babri’ 4 years ago. But why didn’t Tripti make a comeback? This time, Tripti opened the letter of curiosity. Vicky Agarwal and Shraddha Prasai, who are directing the comedy show ‘Comedy Darbar’, were making a film for the first time. They thought of the name of the film – Ka, Ka, Ki, Ki. While weaving the story of the film, a familiar figure kept coming to their memory. The figure was Tripti. Vicky and Shraddha, who grew up watching their films, had not seen Tripti on screen for many years. They suggested, ‘Let’s find Tripti Nadkar.’

Where was it easy to find? Tripti neither used Facebook, nor was her number available. ‘I didn’t know where she was or what she was doing. I was afraid that if I met her again, she would reject the offer,’ says Vicky.

They got Tripti’s contact number through various means. They called her. They said, ‘We have written the script thinking of you. You have to make a comeback.’ Tripti asked her to send the script. She agreed as soon as she read the script. ‘It feels like a dream to return to her,’ says Vicky.

While Vicky and Shraddha proposed for ‘Ka, Ka, Ki, Ki’, Tripti was teaching ‘Kakhara’ to young students in Mumbai. For 15 years, Tripti had been teaching students in kindergarten with love. She was emotional when the offer came after all these years.

After Vicky and Shraddha, actor Bhuvan KC also called her for ‘Batulo Jun’. But the shooting of both films happened to be at the same time. She chose the film ‘Ka, Ka, Ki, Ki’, which she had previously accepted. But how would she arrange a vacation in school? Tripti, who had never taken a day off in 15 years, had to take a long vacation. ‘It was time for school vacation. And I arranged the rest with Ma’am,’ says Tripti smiling.

By the time the plane reached the Nepali sky, Tripti’s heart had flown like a bird. As soon as we touched down in Nepal, my heart was filled with warmth and memories of the years of friendship. She was emotional when she saw the loving people of her country. But Nepal seemed to have changed a lot. ‘It was as if all the roads had changed. Everything had become different,’ she explains.

This was Trupti’s first meeting with Gauri Malla. ‘But the meeting didn’t feel like the first time. Others thought they were acquaintances,’ says Trupti. She had previously worked with Rekha Thapa in ‘Dewar Babu’ and ‘Taxi Driver.’ The meeting brought back memories of the old days.

After coming to Nepal, Trupti realized how much her audience had searched for her here. ‘I am in everyone’s heart,’ she says with emotion.

Nepal is Trupti’s maternal home. Radha Sharma of Dolakha got married to Shri Krishna Nadkar of Mumbai. Tripti was born in Darjeeling in 1968. She grew up in Mumbai. Tripti, who started acting in advertisements at the age of two, was always interested in films.

She acted in a Marathi film for the first time at the age of 10. After that, she worked as a lead actress in Marathi films. One day, while she was shooting in Mumbai, Shambhu Pradhan, Tulsi Ghimire and Bhuvan KC came to see her. After seeing her performance, Shambhu thought of proposing her for ‘Samjhana’ and Bhuvan thought of proposing her for ‘Kusume Rumal’. But did Tripti speak Nepali? Did she agree? While Tulsi and Shambhu were searching for her, they started to question her. Tulsi was Tripti's maternal uncle, while Shambhu's father-in-law was her father's friend.

Tripti agreed. But it was difficult for her to speak Nepali. She had a language problem. 'While filming, I felt like I was taking a class 12 exam. I had to say words I had never heard before. I don't know how I did two films,' says Tripti.

At home, if my parents had to hide something from Tripti, they would speak Nepali as a code language. 'But while working, I fell in love with the Nepali language. Songs sweetened the language,' she says. Those who remember Tripti immediately first remember the song 'Kusume Rumal'. Tripti also has a special love for that song. ‘The song Kusume Rumal was written by Ranjit Gajmer Uncle for Kusum Aunty. Kusum became Kusume Rumal,’ she recalls those days.

Even after doing two Nepali films, Tripti was not able to come to Nepal. She had come to Nepal only to shoot a song for the film ‘Saino’. After that, Nepal came to Nepal more and more. Tripti worked in more than a dozen films including Lahure, Saino, Koseli, Akankara Kaakh, Duniyaan. Her last film was ‘Dewar Babu’ (2064).

What happened after that? Tripti takes a deep breath and says, ‘Many events happened in my personal life. My father got bone cancer. My mother lost her mother, and her leg was also broken.’ After that, she probably didn’t believe. Despite facing various problems, she was waiting for a Nepali film. No offers came. ‘You have to accept whatever situation you find yourself in in life,’ she says.

: Not getting a film here, and facing various problems there. Financial problems also started to appear. Trupti had to work. Then she started a school job. It was not easy for her to leave that world and choose another path, as she was enjoying herself. ‘I was lost on the first day of joining school. That was not my field. People who come from shooting have to live under someone else. Ma’am says do this and do that, oh,’ Trupti says, ‘On top of that, I have to take care of kindergarten children. 40 people in one class. That's when I realized how much trouble a teacher's life can be.'

Ever since the day she got a job at the school, Tripti had left celebrity Tripti on the shooting set. She never revealed this at school. 'I never told anyone at school that I was an actress. No one even knew.' Gradually, her attachment to small children started growing. Tripti started getting used to her new daily life. The only reason she enjoyed that world was acceptance. 'When both learning and acceptance come together, it's very beautiful,' Tripti explains.
