The movement of Nepali Gen-G was not limited only to the streets. They used music as 'digital sloganeering'. From local folk tunes to Swedish pop to South Indian film tones, a new musical movement was created.

These songs, used by the Gen-G generation, seem to serve not only as entertainment but also as a means of expressing satire and resistance to social inequality , unemployment and political failure .

While raising voice against corruption, poverty and unemployment through social media, the Nepali Gen-G group made musical creation a powerful medium . Especially on Tiktok , Instagram and short video platforms, young people used the song as ' background music ' to easily visualize their dissatisfaction , sarcasm and resistance . These videos have a mix of Nepali folk songs to modern pop,

used in these songs, the lyrics and background music of the song became a means of expressing the protest and revolutionary feelings of the youth . Along with these , external musical tones empowered the campaign . '

The Winner Takes It All ' '

Nepo Baby's , Nepo Kid ' The most popular song in the trend was ' The Winner Takes It All ' . This is a song released in 1980 by Swedish pop-band ' Ebba ' . This song is written by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and sung by Agretha Faltskog.   The song depicts the loss-win , separation and emotional pain . Critics call it

' abba ' one of the most poignant songs  . From Britain to America and Europe, it was highly preferred by the then generation . But for Nepali Gen-G, it had a different meaning than love pain- ' corrupt leaders always win and ordinary citizens always lose

' The song was reinterpreted in a sarcastic message . Thousands of videos have been made on Tiktok focusing on this song. ' Villain BGM '

' The Winner Takes It All '

Another popular tone in the same movement is ' Villain BGM (Background Music) ' also . This tone is the tone used in the Indian movie ' Darbar ' made in 2020 . Indian composer Anirudh Ravichandran created this tone . This tone, popular in India, carried a new message when it came to Nepal's Tiktok movement. Nepali Tiktok user Dipesh Rai uploaded this tone at 5:46 PM on September 5. Within a short time this tone gained wide popularity . Italian folk song ' Bella Chow

' is known worldwide as a symbol of resistance and freedom . This song was first hummed among the women workers (mondine) working in the rice fields in northern Italy in the 19th century. While working in difficult situations, sings this song as a protest against their pain and inequality. During World War II , This song gained popularity as a symbol of Italy '
