While cutting grass in the village, Ganga Sonam never thought that one day she would become the winner of 'Nepal Idol'. When I came to Kathmandu from Indrawati in Sindhupalchok to complete the rest of my studies after finishing 12th from Chandeswari Higher Secondary School, I did not think of auditioning.

Earlier, she had not planned to go to any platform related to singing. She never thought that she would have to sing on the big stage one day with the humming voice of the village. Ganga, who did not take any formal singing class, made the world a fan of her voice by winning 'Nepal Idol Season 6'.

Especially coming to Kathmandu and the start of Idol's audition became a coincidence for Ganga to connect with Idol . She came to Kathmandu to study. However, a close singer brother Ramkumar Nepali encouraged him to participate in Idol. Ganga auditioned with his help. Ganga, who entered the idol by singing the song 'Doli Chadhai', gave her powerful performance in the finale by singing this song.

She dedicates her win to all the people of Sindhupalchok. "My victory is the victory of all the people of Sindhupalchok," said 20-year-old Ganga, "I had no idea that I would win." The people of Sindhupalchok have a hand in me being the winner. I want to thank everyone from the municipality, from the municipality to the leaders.'  Ganga made the judges taste the magic of her voice even in the audition of

idol. While Ganga was singing Deuda, Indira Joshi and Kaliprasad Baskota added encouragement by clapping. The three-and-a-half-month idol journey that started with this audition has now become an unforgettable moment in Ganga's life.

What will the friends be like? Before starting the journey of Idol, Ganga took . But the friends also got along the same way . All friends help . Idol became a second family for Ganga. During this three-month journey of Idol, Ganga took a singing class. She got a chance to learn about the words of the song, understood about the notation. Gathering a lot of knowledge about music, this journey enriched the Ganges.

'After coming here, learn from fellow, competitive gurus . I am happy now, however, more changes have come to me than before . I am refined,' said Ganga looking at herself.

It was in Idol that Ganga learned music from Guru Meen Gurung. That learning became the first singing class for him . 'I didn't know the importance of the stage until I met Guru. Neither knew the word nor notation . But, with the Guru, I knew how to learn lyrics and notation, where to learn scales . Guru taught all that . Scale was taught,' she said . 

Ganga doesn't know exactly when she started singing. According to the family, Ray used to sing since childhood. However, it was in class 6 that she realized she could sing herself. At that time Shanti Shri Pariyar's song came - 'Bol Maya'. Ganga liked that song very much. At that time, she sang one day in the class. In the beginning, she sang in front of her friends. The friends sang in front of the teacher, she sang again. Then she sang in a school program. "Everybody started saying that Ganga also sings from there, they said that she sings well," remembers Ganga. The influence of music in Ganga started to grow when others recognized his talent.  After becoming the

Idol winner, now the Ganga flows like the Ganga in music . It reaches the ocean of music incorporating many genres. Now, Ganga's focus is on completing a one-year contract with Idol. Between the idols, Ganga sang a song called 'Bellbottom' along with Ramkumar Nepali who joined the idol. Ramkumar recognized the voice in him right away. This is Ganga's first studio record. Now Ganga will enjoy the music like this.  Ganga got inspiration from her family to sing

. Father, mother and brother are always encouraging him . In a video released by the organizers before the grand finale, Ganga's brother said, 'I want my sister to win.' As the family wished, Ganga became the winner of Idol.

Now there is happiness in the family . 'My family gave me a lot of encouragement . There is no limit to their happiness now,' says Ganga.

and what to do with gift money? Ganga answered the funny question in the same way. She wants the gift money to go towards music and family. 'This money is also to be invested in music . I will do it for the house as well,' she said with a smile.  After becoming the

winner, Ganga's heart has become heavy . Because, now the atmosphere of idol will not always be the same . There were 23 contestants when they came to the audition. While staying in the hostel, Ganga felt as if she was at a wedding party. It was always fun, dancing/singing . When it comes to the finale, only five people are left . At that time, for the first time, his heart became sad. Friends were getting 'out' from week to week. "My heart would be sour when my friends were leaving. However, the performances of friends and the judges' comments gave me encouragement along with fun,' Ganga says, 'I got a second family until I stayed in the idol camp. But, now that is not the case . It's a very exciting experience.'

Ganga always saw her competitors as friends. The last contestants, Babita Thapa Magar, Darshana Gandhari, Abhinay Khati, Mrinal Manandhar also maintained a sisterly relationship. That's why she says that there is less speculation that she has to win. 'We have a relationship like sisters . Never thought he was my competition. But he had to give his best. I worked hard accordingly,' she tells the experience of winning Idol, 'When the winner was announced, I was sitting freely . Before me I had no experience whether he would go . It was said that whoever reaches five people is better. The aspect of winning or not winning never came up . Come on, now I came here to reach wherever I can reach.'  This journey of
