Vidya Balan starrer Hindi movie 'Parineeta' is back in theaters. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, this film was first screened in 2005.

The film has been re-released to mark the 20th anniversary of its release.

From Friday (29th August) The film is going to be screened in over 1700 screens of PVR Inox chain in India for a week . The Indian audience will be able to enjoy the AT-K version of the film for the next week. The Indian media has mentioned that some changes have been made in the sound system of this film, which has been released with a new trailer .

Actress Balan made her debut in the Hindi film industry through this film based on Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay's novel. This is his second film in Indian cinema. Along with Balan, the film stars Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Rekha, Raima Sen and others.

With this re-release, Sarkar-directed Parineeta becomes the first Indian classic to be re-released at K Resolution.
