The 'National Music Award (NMA) 2081' has been completed by honoring senior musician Shambhujit Baskota with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The concert ended with distribution of awards in 14 categories at NMA organized by Radio Kantipur at Godavari Sunrise Convention Center on Saturday.

Shambhujit, who has composed music for more than 375 and 2000 songs of the movie, was honored with the nickname of Music Emperor and a cash prize of one lakh.

"We have given a long sadhana honor to music king Sambhujit Baskota, who has been in music for five and a half decades," said Pawan Acharya, station manager of Radio Kantipur. After the award, composer Baskota said that Nepali music will play a big role in making the country known to the world.

'Nepali music, art and literature will reach that hearth of the world . Music will play a big role in making the country known. Music is a long journey of my life, ups and downs. Thanks for the Lifetime Achievement . Music made with discipline will reach the world," Shambhujit said.

singers Asmita Adhikari and Suresh Lama paid a 'tribute' to Shambhujit by singing 'Yo Zindagiile', 'Ma ta ab risayadu', 'Sunkoshi Suseleko', 'Timro mana te chakku churi'.  For the

award, singer RC Rimal won in the category of 'Best Debut Singer'. Subodh Dhakal, Subas Sundas, Neeru Budhamgar, Karan Periyar were nominated along with him in this category.

Similarly, Shanti Sri Pariyar won the award for 'Best Folk Dohori Singer'. Rita Thapamgar, Anju Vishwakarma, Purnakala Bisi and Devi Gharti were nominated along with her in this category.

Likewise, singer Prakash Dutraj won the award for 'Best Folk Dohori Singer'. Shirish Devkota, Mausham Gurung, Khem Century and Vishwa Dong were nominated in this category.

Bhushan Kharel won the 'Best Lyricist' award. Dr. along with him in this category. Shambhu Jamktel, Dr. Damodar Regmi, Homanath Neupane and Aviral Thapa were nominated. Singer Tika Prasain won the award for "Best Modern Singer" with the song "Ae Zindagi". Rachna Rimal from 'Anaisai Andhi Chalyo', Laboni Chakraborty from 'Ekantama Anshu Bani', Babina Bhattarai from 'Euta Sano Ghar Hola' and Review Adhikari from 'Timro Aar Mero Sansar Beglai' were nominated along with him in this category.

Singer Shiv Pariyar won the 'Best Modern Singer' award for the song 'Chupchaap'. Singers Satyaraj Acharya, Praveen Bedwal, Vishwa Nepali and Shashi Gurung competed with him in this category.

"Best playback singer" award was won by SD Yogi from "Rukum Makot". Along with Yogi, Roman Acharya, Sanup Poudel, Ashish Aviral and Nishan Bhattarai were nominated in this category. She won the award for 'Best playback singer' by reviewer Adhikari for the song 'Buzhin Male' from 'Boksi Ko Ghar'. Jhuma Limbu from 'Jhyalko', Sunita Thegim from 'Rai Maila', Shanti Sri Pariyar from 'Rukum Makot' and Salina Vick from 'Sari Lagaideu' were nominated.  Sanjeev Barailly was declared 'Best Musician' in the

program. He won the award in this category with the song 'Chupchap'. The song won two awards at the NMA. Sunil Maske, Suraj Pandit, Kriti Neupane and Bibi Anuragi were nominated in the category of 'Best Musician'.

'Kum: Sagar and Khwap' Band' declared 'Best Band' at NMA . The band was nominated in this category for the song 'A My Ray'. In this category, songs featuring vocals were nominated for 'Badalsari' by John Chamling Rai, 'Bhavna' by 'Rockheads', 'Sadhainbhari' by Avaya and The Steve Engines, 'Parsh Sangeet' by 'Poorna Rai and Dajubhairu'. Brijesh Shrestha won the award in the 'Hip-Hop, R&B' category, which was added this year, with the song 'Mutumai Basech'. Rappers OMG, Vek and Jamesy, Yavesh and Bijen and Dimitri were nominated in this category .

singer Trishala Gurung was declared the 'Best Pop Singer' at the event. Aastha Tamang Maske, Rachna Dahal, Samriddhi Rai and Saja Chaulagai were nominated in the top five along with her in the 'Best Pop Singer' category.

singer Sushant KC won the 'Best Pop Singer' award for 'Bardli'. In this genre  Along with Sushant, Sujan Chapagain, Sajjanraj Vaidya, John Chamling Rai and Swapn Suman were nominated in the top five.  The impact of 'Bardli' has reached India with its Hindi remake. 

Sushant also won the 'People's Choice Award' from this song. In this category, 'Kum: Sagar and Khwap Band' from 'A My Re', Durgesh Thapa from 'Dushman Hereko Heryai', Shanta Rani Pariyar from 'Dhalendale', SD Yogi and Shantisree Pariyar from 'Rukum Makot' were nominated. The winner of this category is determined by audience votes . During the

program, the atmosphere heated up when young singer Durgesh Thapa gave a performance on 'Dushman Hereke Heryai' with a dance performance that captivated the audience . Along with the dancing group, Durgesh gave a singing performance on the lyrics of 'Bambam Bhole' and 'Jane Bhe Jam Maya' along with 'Dushman Hereko Heryai'.

Some of the audience stood up and danced in his performance. "The elder should be respected and the younger should be loved". Even now, when I meet elders, I respect them . It was like Durgesh coming from the village, it is the same now. That's why Durgesh Thapa is not a name, but a brand," said Durgesh looking at the audience after the performance. Durgesh was honored with 'Red Bull Energetic Performance' in the program. 

At the beginning of NMA, singer Swapn Suman performed with the band on the songs 'Upahar' and 'Radha'. Many singers/singers performed in the program. Singer Pashupati Sharma performed on the song 'Jhole Ta Tain, Jhole Ta Main'.

Young singer Sushant Ghimire performed from his new song 'Feri Feri', 'Manchari' . While Wangden Sherpa performed on the song 'Mayalu', he and Sushant together performed a duet on the song 'Jun Naheri'. While the two of them were performing on this song, the audience also sang along with them. Sundar Khanal and Sujita Shrestha presented comedy in the

program. In the avatar of journalist Prakash Subedi and singer Durgesh Thapa, these two made the audience laugh. The program ended with the performance of the band 'Kum: Sagar and Khwap'.
