Radio Kantipur is organizing a concert along with the prestigious 'National Music Awards' on June 28 for the general audience.
In this concert with 14 categories and Lifetime Achievement Awards, there will be a performance of 10 famous young artists from Kum Sagar to Durgesh Thapa. Godavari Sunrise Convention Center with a capacity of 3,000 spectators, along with Kum and Durgesh, Sushant Ghimire, Swapn Suman, Asmita Adhikari, Wangden Sherpa, Elina Chauhan, Pashupati Sharma will perform musically, while Sundar Khanal and Sujita Shrestha will entertain with comedy.
Surajsingh Thakuri, CEO of Kantipur Television, informed that the National Music Awards are raising their standards and this time they are going to distribute the awards along with the concert. This is a program that has been going on for years. Remembering the contribution of old personalities, we have been honoring them by dressing them. At first, we were doing programs in five-star hotels and reaching the audience through television. However, this time we are doing the program sitting with the audience,' Thakuri said, 'We will sit outside the five-star hotel and do this program with the audience. We will have fun together through their performance by giving place to young artists in these musical nights.'
Pawan Acharya, station manager of Radio Kantipur, said that previously, only the songs played in Radio Kantipur were given awards, but for the past few years, the songs played in areas other than Kantipur have also been included in the awards.
Radio Kantipur is the only radio which used to give royalty to the creator for playing the song. While giving the same royalty, we used to organize the program . However, now the royalty collection society takes the royalty . So now we include not only the songs played in Kantipur but also the songs played outside in the awards,' Acharya said, 'Tell me why you bought the ticket?' We have reserved tickets especially for the adoption experience. We have kept tickets for the great personality of music in appreciation of their life investment in music.' The
event will be held with a red carpet.
