On October 16, 2069, a report was published in the Kantipur Daily under the title 'Blooming Forest'.

That report by Sushil Paudel, a Kantipur journalist, was about the film 'Onephool' which was being shot at Arughat in Dhading. There was a special enthusiasm with the director and the actors who were enjoying the original story in the scene.

Even then, for the viewers who were looking for a good looking hero, Sunil Pokharel, who was playing a major role in the shooting location, could not believe it when they saw the hero . Pokharel said, "We have audiences who are looking for heroes and heroines as the main characters". Who will believe me old man!'

Director Navraj Budhathoki was getting excited to make 'Onefool'. The shooting of the film has been completed grandly . Months passed, years passed . A decade has passed. But until today, the audience has not been able to see 'Onefool' on the screen of the film.

This film could have been an important part in the Nepali silver screen, which is just starting to tell organic stories. Many films were made in these 13 years, and different tastes came in.

But director Navraj Budhathoki is still tired of not being able to make this film, which he made with a big dream, appear in the list. Not only the shooting of the film, but also the post-production work was completed . But why hasn't it been released yet? I was only a director. I didn't have the right to it,' explains Navraj.

Madan Baral and Jeevansathi Film Productions were the producers of the film . They made a film called Antaral and Shree Panch Ambare back-to-back. There was talk of releasing Onefool after the release of Interval. But they skipped it and applied Sri Panch Ambare . And it stopped like this, Navraj adds, 'How much did I stress . But he didn't even have the rights. Now the producers are out of touch with Navraj. After 'Onephool' he directed the film 'Bhuimmanche'.

was also released in the year 074 . He remembers that movie even now. It seems, 'Still able to release it.' Friend Shubhechchcha repeatedly expresses concern about that film. "When we made that film, it was not supposed to be a film on a social story like it is now". If it could have been released, the film would have had a different impact,' Navraj says with a glimpse of the story.

When announcing a film and going to the filming location, not only the director is the producer, but also the dreams and careers of many people including the actors are connected. Many filmmakers have an example of how much the shooting of that film is not completed or stuck in the release.

Actor Divyadev didn't do anything for the film 'Rudane: The Nepali Name of Rebellion' based on the life of Taha actor Rupchandra Bishta. He spent many days and months in Rupchandra's cover, love and hug to become a 'cry'. He gave a speech under cover of tears at Akash Bridge in Kathmandu. Made and sold leaflets with poems written on them.

But 8 years have passed since the filming stopped. The film was announced on Rudane's 18th anniversary. The production team also claimed to release it at the end of 2074. Four years ago, the team released the teaser . After watching the

teaser, many were impressed by Divyadev's work. Amit Kishore Subedi and Vikas Dhakal jointly wrote and directed the film  It was produced by Jagurt Rayamazhi. The main character of the film was Divyadev as well as more than one hundred actors including Namrata Shrestha, Ravi Giri, Subhash Gajurel, Amar Subedi and others. Although the shooting of the

film was stopped due to lack of finances, the producer Jagurt Rayamazhi never accepted this fact . We shot for 55 consecutive days. After going to Chepang Basti and staying for 15 days, he got hanged. We stopped to rest. Then covid started,' Jagrut said .

Even when talking about the film three years ago, Rayamazhi claimed that the rest of the shooting would be completed in the same year and released by 080.

But when the remaining work of the film was not completed, Divyadev felt that the dream was broken. 'Crying for a long time took its toll . I wasn't emotionally affected as much as I was before. But there was a kind of disappointment," he says. If 'Rudane' had come on time, it could have been an important breakthrough for his film career. Maybe because of that, he himself is not satisfied with the work he has been trying to do recently.

Although there is a little hope left in the film Divyadev . He intends to complete the film for the honor of Rudane.

producer Rayamazhi says that he will complete the rest of the film's shooting this year. The lineup is all over. About 10 to 15 days of shooting were left . The final is being prepared. As soon as the rains are over, we will go shooting,' he says.

Divyadev says that even if he goes into filming now, he should not do it just for the sake of it. '8 years ago and today's audience has changed . As there are a lot of expectations, the film should be done in a responsible manner,' he says. He still says that he is ready if everything comes together and works responsibly.

film director Nirshachal Basnet, including some established filmmakers, director Naveen Subba's film 'Goodbye Kathmandu' was like a school.

They worked in production during the making of the film . After that, Nischal, who made 'Loot', established himself as a trend setter in the film industry. He has worked as a director, actor and producer in many other films. But the film "Goodbye Kathmandu" in which he worked as a learning experience has not been released in theaters till today.

This film reached various international festivals. But it was never released in Nepali halls. But then, Subba's 'Gaon Inya Bato' was released in Nepal last year. The film 'Goodbye Kathmandu', which was expected by many, kept the audience saying 'bye bye'. Why hasn't it been released till today? Director Subba's answer is, 'I didn't want to release it.' The concrete reason for this has not come out. Many believe that the film was not released because he was not satisfied. Subba is currently preparing for two new films.

Director Dipendra K Khanal, who is making films at a fast pace, seems to have stumbled because of 'Mayor'. The filming of the biopic 'Mayor' on Sarlahi's Bagmati Municipality Mayor Bharat Kumar Thapa was completed in Baisakh last year after spending 51 days.

The release date used to be fixed when Dipendra's other films were announced. And it was released on the specified date. But in the case of 'mayor', that was not the case. Because the Mayor whose life they made a film about, the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission registered a corruption case in a special court.

He was accused of running an illegal crusher industry, assault and murder. It is said that this is the reason why the further work of the film could not proceed. When asked about this to the director Khanal, he says, "His filming is very poor". The technical work has been stopped a lot. Even the cost has not been settled. Khanal is uncertain about the future of the

film. Instead, 'Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No 2' directed by him has been released. Preparations are being made for the release of 'Hari Bahadur's Shoes'. He is now preparing for the shooting of a new film. No other film was stopped like that. This is how this film happened," he says. The film is an ambitious project for

directors. A budget of crores has been invested in the film. But while the filming was going on, the film was stopped by accident. And that movie never got made. What is the mood of the director/producer at that time?

director Rajeev Gurung is tormented by the memories of the film 'Hastag Maya' every day. 2 years ago, the project got stalled after Saruk Tamrakar, the main character of the film, committed suicide during the shooting. According to Gurung, by that time the budget had already spent 4 crores.

Finally, director Gurung announced that the film would not be made, combining some of the footage and making a video dedicated to Saruk. Currently, Gurung is busy in pre-production for a new small budget film. But sometimes I feel sad remembering the failed project. Now it seems that those footages can't even be seen,' he says. The failed project taught Rajiv an important lesson. It taught me how to deal with people even before pre-production. It also taught me how to fail," he says.

Stuck work always makes you feel restless . This is how director Jaun Yonjan felt about the stalled post-production work of the film 'Ma Rajesh Hamal'.

'He had a lot of energy when he shot this film four years ago . But when the film was shot, the producer ran out of money. The film stopped at the post,' he said. By that time, the cost of the film was over 12 million. He added, "The first one year delay did not make much difference." When a year passed, the mental stress began to set in. There were many people asking when the film will come. But I didn't have an answer,' says Jaune .

worried not only Jaun, but actress Smita Lamichhane, who saw her career rise from that film, for a long time. If that film had been made and released on time, it would have been very good for my career. The film Rokina made her feel left behind,' she says .

The movie 'Ankha', directed by Jaun and starring Smita, was released in October last year. Due to natural disasters like floods and landslides, the film was not successful at the box office. But the presence of the film in various festivals is strong .

Jaun is now preparing to direct the new film 'Role Number One'. Although the preparations for the new film are fast, Jaune is not able to ignore the project. On Tuesday, he shared a happy message, "I Rajesh Hamal is coming soon". Now the post work is going on. The producer has raised the investment and is now advancing the work of the film. But the excitement that was at the beginning is not the same. It seems that I could have just released it,' says Jaun.

In this way, some films are living in an uncertain future on the hard drive, while others are still looking for a way to pass by holding on to a glimmer of hope. Some are living only in the memory of the director . Even with the poster and teaser, 'Ranimahal' is a film that has not been released.

Although said to be Nikita Chandak's first film, it was stopped during the shooting . Instead, Nikita worked in other films. This film was not completed. Himal Neupane, who is directing this film, has directed the upcoming film 'Janai Megbo Manobu'. Satyaraj Choulagai's film 'Vichchad', shot by Kovidta, has not been released till date.

Similarly, films like Matrubhoomi, A for America, Harjit, Tulsi, Zero, Karthik, Challenge, Destination Kathmandu, Hey Yuva, Janata Zindavad , which were shot a decade ago, never reached the audience.
