Lyricist and director Yadav Kharel has been awarded 'Dirgh Sadhana Samman'. On the occasion of the 12th 'Music Khabar Music Award 2081', he was honored with 51 thousand in cash, a medal and a certificate.

In a program held in Kathmandu on Friday, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey,  Lyricist Rajendra Thapa, Chairman of Film Development Board Dinesh DC, Chairman of Film Artists Association Mohan Niraula, Coordinator Sabita Pokharel and others honored Kharel.

Similarly, the best winners of various categories have also been honoured.

Govind Madhur Acharya (Ek din Urudu Chaula) was declared the best singer while Babina Bhattarai (Gunaso) became the best singer. Mahesh Acharya in

modern genre  (You're Not Together) Best Songwriter,  Narahari Premi (The Man Who Left Home) was adjudged the Best Musician and Anju Pant and Naresh Regmi (Dharti and June's Kahaani) Best Singing Duet . Sushil Vikram Shah (One June) for

sound editing, Bipin Acharya (Adat) for music composition. In the

music video category, Rupesh Thapa (Timmi Nadi Chalnai)  Cinematographer and Ravin Bick (Lampate Surati)  won for Editing . Vinod Shrestha and Usha Subedi (Bidai) and Shaan Thapa (Chunai Hunna Asa) as the director were judged to be the best. For

special awards, Elina Chauhan (Mikni Chaali Nadi) won Popular Singer of the Year. Bhupendra Budhathoki (The God Who Writes Fortune) was selected for the Jury Lyricist Award and Keshav Paudel (Mad) for the Jury Musician Award.  Dipendra Ale (Dhalkebarima) from

Diaspora Singer and Ryan Basyal (Ghamko Jhulko) in Navpratibha Singer stood out. Umesh Bhatt (Katai Ma Haraen Ki) won the award for New Director. Saroj Lamichhane (Kholi Tareko) and Sunita Budha Chhetri (Ujeli) won in the

Folk Dohori category, while Krishna KC (Thuli) and Santosh Sapkota (Basau Algai) won the Best Songwriter category.

Saamana Shah (In the Tears of Tears), Music Coordinator Tejendra Doora (Your Youth),   Sound Editing Khadg Bajurali (Thuli),   Director Mausam Himali (Kashmere Pachauri) were declared the best.

Similarly, Badal Ghimire (Kasam Todne Bha), Asmita Puri (Phoulmaya) was chosen for the model (male-female). Reshma Tamang (Judhyo Nazar) became the best singer towards

cultural genre. Shukra Tamang and Regina Pariyar (humorous chic voice) were chosen as singers.  In the

movie category, Pramod Dhungana (Upahar – No Lose) won the title of best lyricist, while Arjun Pokharel (son-in-law – Kasam Battiko) was declared as the music composer. Similarly, Sumin Khadka and Namrata Kharel (Mind Bad – Jhamke Jhamazham) were the best singers. Sabin Subedi (Chakkapanja 5 – Bihe Bhako Noi) was declared in the

encouragement award.
