Actress Rekha Thapa's play 'Meera' has been staged. The play will be staged from May 19 to June 7 at the new Kantipur Theater opened at the Kantipur Film Academy located in Gairidhara.
Based on the book 'Meera' written by Deepak Sinjali, this play is directed by colorist Sundar Dhital. Ramesh Puri produced the play which was conceived by Dhital himself. Along with actress Rekha, Vishal Pahari, Vinda Khatiwada, Vishal Devkota, Geet Bista, Doresh Khatiwada, Unnat Upreti and Sunil Khadka are acting in the drama.
This is the first drama of Rekha, who ruled the film industry for a long time. She is seen in the role of Meera in the drama. In the drama, the love story of Balasakha Meera and Krishna and how another family relationship becomes an obstacle in that love is presented. In the drama, not only the love between the two, but also the waiting for love, the longing and the pain caused by it are shown. Vishal Khatiwada is seen as Krishna on the
stage. Rekha plays the role of a strong, rebellious woman in the drama. Earlier she played similar roles in films like 'Himmatwali', 'Rampyari', 'Kali'.
In this play, she has played the role of a young woman from a teenager. Now many are congratulating Rekha for her stage debut . Rekha has been interpreting the play as a new chapter.
