Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangshree won the 72nd Miss World title. She won the title in the finale held in Hyderabad, Telangana, India on Saturday evening.

The winner Opal was crowned by the winner of the previous edition, Kristina Piszková. Ethiopia was declared the runner-up. Poland and Martinique were declared the third and fourth runners-up respectively.

In the final four, Martinique from America and the Caribbean, Ethiopia from Africa, Poland from Europe and Thailand from Asia competed. Indonesia has won the important category 'Beauty with a Purpose'.

In this year's competition, beauties from 108 countries including Nepal competed. Nepal could not be included in the last 40. Srichha Pradhan participated from Nepal.
