Indian government has requested all OTT and streaming platforms operating in India like Netflix, Disney, Spotify, Apple Music to remove all content made in Pakistan.
India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, issuing a six-point directive on Thursday, stated that national security was given priority after the Pahalgam attack and instructed to remove all content created in Pakistan.
"All OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India have been advised to immediately remove web series, films, songs, podcasts and other content made in Pakistan," the ministry's notification said. Earlier, India had blocked the social media handles of Pakistani celebrities in India. Pakistan has also responded in the same way.
