'Cathjazz International Music Festival' has been completed. Organized in collaboration with Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, this festival started from Chait 31. The festival celebrated this program as a festival of Nepali music and its related aspects through jazz music.
The main purpose of this festival, which was started in 2017, is connected with education. The festival has been awarding scholarships to two students studying at the conservatory every year.
'KathJazz' has always been providing an environment for music students studying in the conservatory to learn/teach from the veteran musicians of the Nepali region . The festival also offers residential workshops for young musicians .
This time, the festival organized a program focusing on female musicians. Nepali and foreign artists such as Yaju and Smitha from Nepal, Kunjani, Rajat Rai, Yesivhar and Ko from Spain, Vance V Nieu from Switzerland and Paul from Canada performed in the festival.
