A new play has started again in the city. In the meantime, new dramas have started coming to the stage in the theatre, which has been disrupted by film and drama festivals.

Two plays are currently being staged simultaneously at the Mandala Theatre. Studio Theater is staging 'Katha Ek' under the direction of Anup Neupane while 'Urfa Darasingh' is being staged by Chulachuli Rangamanch Eelam in the other main hall . 'Katha Ek' is co-written by Prem Silwal Vishwakarma and director Neupane. Various aspects of relationship are covered in this play. Co-directed by Milan Karki, this play will be staged till May 28. 'aka Darasingh'. This play co-directed by Rupesh Lama will be staged till May 11. The drama based on oral history is written by Suman Lingden. 'Vayupankhi Buffalo' will be staged from May 18 at Kaushi Theatre. Written and directed by Kshitij Parajuli, this play is produced by Krishna Bahadur Khadka.
