Singer Sangeeta Rana Pradhan is going to give a presentation this time. Earlier, Sangeeta, who performed for the first time in 2007, will perform classical singing on Baisakh 12 and 13.
She is now busy practicing Khayal, Thumri and some modern songs with Palenti artists. In the program, Khayal and Thumri are also prepared to be presented in Nepali language.
After 18 years, Sangeeta, who is preparing for a solo performance in Palenti, said that she is excited for the performance. 'After a long time, I am excited to be performing solo in Palenti. This platform always makes me happy as I get a chance to get to know Palenti's listeners and viewers from time to time. Especially when I remember my collaboration with Shanti Thatal Didi on this stage, I become 'nostalgic',' she said .
Composer Abhas, who has been combining Palenti for 20 years, has collaborated on some thumris sung by Sangeeta. 'This festival will have classical music or a mixture of classical and semi-classical music . The language of Khayal and Thumri will be Nepali. I have Nepalised some thumris at the request of Sangita Pradhan,' he said.
Sangeeta, who formally studied classical music from Vishwabharati University, Santiniketan, has made a distinct identity in modern and film singing as well. Plenty Music will present the words of lyricists Kaliprasad Rizal, Ratnashamsher Thapa, Manjul, Nirmohi Vyas, Aarti Neva, Manjit Tamang, Abhas through singing.
