Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap is currently being criticized for his expression.

Now Anurag has also said that his family and friends are receiving various threats. He has also apologized for his expression. However, he is not the only one involved in controversy.

Even before this, he had become controversial because of his expression. Because, he cannot remain silent. Recently, he expressed dissatisfaction with the OTT platform regarding the Netflix series 'Adolescence'. He often abuses the Censor Board as well. That's why the movie 'Udta Punjab' (2016)  And there was a conflict between the Censor Board too.

Anurag has an old relationship with controversy. Whether it's his fearless expressions or posts on social media . Whether it's in a family relationship or a fight with a partnership in a film company .

What is the latest controversy?
Especially this controversy started with the release of the film 'Phule'. Kashyap made a post on social media after some media reports published the news that the Censor Board had used 'scissors' in the film 'Phule'. At the screening of Dhadak-2, the Censor Board said, Modiji has ended the caste system in India.

On the same basis, 'Santosh' could not be released in India. He added, "Now the Brahmin has a problem with 'Fule'". Brother, when there is no caste system, what is the Brahmin? When there was no caste system, why are there Jyotiba Phule and Savitri Bai?' A dispute arose over this answer. However, he later apologized for the matter.

Anurag's MeeToo dispute 

During the Me Too movement, a woman accused filmmaker Vikas Bahl of sexual harassment. The woman used to work in Phytom Film Production. Phytum was founded by Anurag, Vikramaditya Motwani, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl . 
The woman told Anurag about the sexual harassment she experienced. But he complained that there was no response from Kashyap. Confirming the woman's complaint, Anurag said in Huffington Post's report, "Whatever happened was wrong." After that, Anurag announced the closure of Phytom Production House.

In 2020, actress Payal Ghosh accused Anurag of sexual harassment. She tagged Anurag on Twitter and wrote that Anurag forced her. Payal Ghosh appealed for help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She demanded action against Anurag . Supporting Payal Ghosh's allegations, actress Kangana Ranaut demanded Anurag's arrest. Stating that the allegations were false, Anurag said that he had never treated a woman like this before.

Comments on nepotism

After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there was a lot of debate in Bollywood about nepotism (nepotism) in the film industry on social media. Anurag raised a question on this debate and said, 'Why is this discussion limited only to actors? While more than 100 people sweat their blood to make the film.'  Many filmmakers including him commented on this matter.
Controversy with Kangana and Ranveer

Kangana Ranaut and Anurag made many comments about each other while the debate about nepotism was going on. At that time, Anurag had said that Kangana was his very best friend.
'But I don't know the new Kangana that is being seen now,' he said. He also said that he could not forgive this Kangana. Actor Ranbir Shorey also joined the debate between them.

Anurag Kashyap took a dig at her and suggested her to speak up . Ranbir Shourie commented that many independents and 'film warriors' have now become sycophants of mainstream Bollywood. They used to speak against the system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He kept talking until the precious doors of mainstream Bollywood were opened to him,' he said.

'Udta Punjab' 

Before the release of Anurag Kashyap's film 'Udta Punjab', the Censor Board raised many objections and directed to remove many scenes. Anurag called those instructions unnecessary.
According to him, the then Censor Board Chairman Pahlaj Nihalani was running the board ignoring the rules. Anurag Kashyap expressed anger saying that Nihalani is trying to impose her morals on the cinema of the whole world.
