Purushottam Neupane, singer of famous folk and double songs like 'Aina Herer', 'Sarrar Panighattama', 'Runchhani Man Kin Runain' will be performing in a single evening at Pokhara Auditorium on Friday. 'Purushottam Neupane Musical Evening' is going to be organized by the National Folk and Dual Song Institute of Nepal.
The foundation said that 18 songs of Purushottam will be presented in the evening by holding a press conference in Pokhara on Wednesday. The president of the foundation Rita Thapamgar informed that a documentary prepared on his biography will also be screened in the musical evening. The foundation had organized 'Narayan Rayamazhi Sangeet Samanj 2080' last year . She said that the program is going to be held according to the plan of the foundation to present a famous folk singer every year . The foundation has arranged for free admission to the musical evening.
Newpane, born in Syangja in 2029, is a successful initiator of creating a proud history in the Nepali Folk Dohori region. He has been active in the field of Nepali folk music for almost three and a half decades. He has filled his voice in more than a thousand songs. He started his musical journey by recording the song 'Balam Devithan' in 046.
He has reached various countries during musical performances. He also won the Music Nepal Award three times in a row in folk songs. He is also the former central president of the foundation and is currently working as a program officer at Radio Nepal Regional Broadcasting Office Pokhara. He said that the musical evening is going to be held in Pokhara as his hometown is Pokhara and his birthplace is Syangja.
