"Nepal International Theater Festival" (Nitfest) is over. The festival concluded with the staging of the Maithili play 'Sama Chako Sama Chako Ahiva Hai' directed by Amjad Parvez and written by Ramesh Ranjan.
The festival started with Nisha Sharma, Chancellor of Nepal Music and Drama Pragya Academy, playing Damaha baja in the premises of Mandala Theater located in Thapagaon, and now it has been concluded with the promise to meet with a new edition in 027 .
17 plays from 12 countries were staged in the festival at Mandala Theater. "Kandata and Shakuntala" from Japan and Nepal, "Aboriginal Cry" and "Tamasa" from India, "Mochou Mochou" from China, "Esech" from Tunisia, "Antigone" from Iran, "Arrived" from Lithuania and Spain, and "Charming Jinju Opera Episodes" from China were staged. "Zhoda" and "Sama Chako Sama Chako Ahiva Hai" from Nepal were selected. In the
festival, along with theater, various topics including art culture, cinema, media, policy, and politics were discussed every day. The
festival included drama, poetry, dance, music, painting and other artistic performances. Three different workshops were organized by artists from Scotland, China and Germany.
Knitfest chairman and actor Dayahang Rai said that the staging, presentation and the enthusiastic participation of the audience at the festival satisfied him and added energy to continue the festival . From yesterday's stage journey to today, the older generation has transferred their knowledge and experience to us. Today, we are in the process of transferring the knowledge and experience learned by our generation to the new generation,' he said, 'In the third edition of the festival, we practiced the same transfer on the bright theme of Raithane knowledge.' More than a hundred artists from different countries participated in the
festival. Thousands of spectators from all over the world participated in the one-week long festival. Festival coordinator Kedar Shrestha said, "The festival is an exercise for artists from all over the world and Nepali artists to learn from each other's work. One week of Knitfest was spent in sharing cultural diversity . This is the achievement of the festival. He also said that the audience from watching
plays to listening to discussions and watching other performances has increased every day. A total of 115 plays from all over the world were applied for the festival.
