The motion poster of the first film written and directed by colorist Bimal Subedi 'Hiunko Geet' has been released. Actress Varsha Raut can be seen in the center of the poster of the film.
Subedi is known as an experimental theater artist through Theater Village. Varsha Raut, Joyce Pandey, Akash Khatiwada, Ishir Karmacharya and Pooja Chand are in central roles in 'Hiunko Geet'. The
film was shot in Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The film is produced by Joysh Pandey, Bimal Subedi and Samundra Raj Ghimire for Happy Home Studios. Subedi says that the
film covers the stories of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese and Nepali immigrants in a powerful way. In the film, the dreams, aspirations, identity crisis of different generations born and raised in Bhutan, Nepal and America, struggle, Subedi said that the extreme injustice, tyranny, barbarism and extreme torture done by the rulers of that time on the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese were included. In the
film, more than four dozen artists from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Akron, Columbus, Sunshine Taekwondo and Dance Academy, Inta Foundation have acted. Filmmakers from Nepal, Bhutan, Taiwan, China, Mexico have worked in the
film. The film is shot by Chinin Gau and edited by Nishan Ghimire.
