The auditions for the two reality shows 'Mero Voice Universe' and 'Mero Dance Universe', where Nepali talents from all over the world will compete, have started from Saturday.
Dilli Adhikari, president of the organizing organization Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America along with the two best senior lyricists of the East, Shivshankar Thapa and senior singer Kuveer Rai, started the audition by lighting the panas. On that occasion, the presiding officer honored the founders established in Nepali music field with bouquets and cash.
President Adhikari urged the society to set an example as the artist is the leader of the society. He said that these two reality shows were organized to keep Nepaliness and Nepali identity alive among Nepali people all over the world, to pass on Nepali culture to the next generation and to connect Nepali people from all over the world with Nepal through Nepali art culture.
According to Rupak Odari, the coordinator of Mero Voice Universe and Mero Dance Universe Eastern region auditions, 1143 talents have registered for the competition for both shows in that region. On the first day, on Saturday, around 600 talents competed in the audition which started at 11 am at Green Field School in Virtamod. The rest of the contestants will participate on Sunday. According to Rajesh Ghatani of the
organizing organization, the number of participants has increased because there is a system where interested talents can go directly to the audition venue to register their names. Due to the large number of contestants in singing, after being selected in the pre-audition, they were made to participate in the audition and those who were selected from that were also selected in the final audition. He said that for dance, the selection process of the contestants has been determined in two stages, pre-audition and final audition.
The auditions of these two reality shows in London, Portugal, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Dubai, Qatar, Mumbai and Siliguri have been completed. In Nepal, the auditions in Pokhara and Nepalgunj have been completed, and after Virtamod, the auditions will be held in Kathmandu on 16th and 17th of Chaitra.
The first winner will get the highest prize money of 1 crore, the runner-up will get 2.5 million and the third winner will get 10 million in both these shows, 120 singing talents and the same number of dancing talents from all over the world will be selected and taken to Kathmandu.
