17 plays from 12 countries will be staged in the third edition of Nepal International Drama Festival (Nitfest). Organizer Mandla Theater has released information about the festival by publishing posters and play lists.

According to festival coordinator Kedar Shrestha, a total of 115 plays from all over the world were submitted to the festival.

12 plays including 10 foreigners and 2 Nepalis have been selected from among them. Apart from that, Shrestha informed that a total of 17 plays have been selected including 1 from the organizing organization Mandala Theater, 3 from local organizers in three cities and 1 from Chautari play.

'Zhoda' and 'Umlindo Kharani and Lemlemma' are selected dramas from Nepal. "Kandata and Shakuntala" from Japan and Nepal, "Aboriginal Cry" and "Tamasa" from India, "Mochou Mochou" from China, "Esech" from Tunisia, "Antigone" from Iran, "Arrived" from Lithuania and Spain, and "Charming Jinju Opera Episodes" from China will be staged.

This time, Knitfest will be held in 4 cities along with Mandala Theater in Kathmandu and also in Pokhara, Bharatpur and Belbari. More than a hundred foreign artists will come to the

festival. Three different workshops will be organized by artists from Scotland, China and Germany in the Knitfest, which includes art exhibition, music, dance exhibition and other activities. There will be discussion and interaction on various topics at the

festival, the final information of which will be announced by the organizers in a few days . Applications for drama and programs were invited for the

festival last June . Actor Dayahang Rai, active as a film actor and theater artist, is the director of Knitfest 2025. Knitfest will run till Chait 12.
