Recently, poster, teaser and trailer release are considered as important materials of film promotion. Also, releasing the trailer before the release of the film is the most powerful weapon of publicity for the production team.

But this year, the movie 'Laaj Sharanam' directed by Kumar Kattel has been screened without releasing the trailer itself.

Both Niroj Maharjan's directorial film 'Feri Resham Philili' and Diwakar Bhattarai's 'Mayavi', which were released today along with 'Laaj Sharanam', released their trailers.

The reason for not releasing the trailer of this film is related to the case filed by former minister Aftaw Alam regarding the film . Former minister Alam filed a case against the production team saying that his cover was perfect for the character of 'Laaz Sharanam'. The

production team had already announced the trailer release date.

But the day before the release of the trailer, the Patan High Court issued an interim order to stop the publicity without the permission of the Censor Board. The production team then suspended all scheduled promotional events . The promotional materials placed before that have also been removed . "Due to these problems, the trailer could not be released," said a member of the production team.
