Madi Secondary School Madi won first place in the Barun Folk Cultural Dance Competition organized by Sankhuwasabha's Barun Versatile Campus.
Barun has organized a cultural dance competition and a handicraft exhibition for the preservation of art and culture in Raithane on Saturday, due to the impact of the International Mother Language Day.
Madi Mavi, the winner of the competition held at Barun Multipurpose Campus in Khandbari, has received 30,000 in cash. Madi performed Sangini dance under Raithane art culture .
Similarly, Manakamana Mavi Tumlingtar, who presented the Kumal cultural dance of the Kumal caste, came second. Kulung Rai community cultural dance presented by Sagarmatha Mavi Silichong third and Limbu community's Keylang dance presented by Sankhuwasabha Multiple Campus got the consolation place . The second, third and consolation prize winners in the
competition received cash certificates of 20,000, 10,000 and 5,000 rupees respectively. Barun folk cultural dance competition is organized with the slogan of youth participation in
culture preservation and promotion. District campuses and secondary schools participated in the competition along with representative campuses of Dhankuta, Bhojpur district.
