From Keiki to the finale in dark cinema

In 2011, Kiki Adhikari acted in the horror-thriller film Masaan directed by Neer Vikram Shah and was recently seen in Sulakshan Bharti's psycho-socio thriller Boxiko Ghar. After that, the new generation Raksha Thapa was seen along with the previous generation actress Mithila Sharma in the horror drama 'Bato'.

Senior actress Mithila has been seen in dark films since long. However, recently, new generation actresses are also fond of playing 'gothic' films like horror and thrillers. 

Mithila, who appeared in the character of a 'gothic' character in the 2000 film 'Mukundo' directed by Chiring Ritar Sherpa, has also appeared in the 2021 horror film 'Kathaputli' directed by Bhimsen Lama and the 2023 Ian Scott Clement's psycho thriller 'Basenji'. Also, Dia Maske acted in the 2008 Bhushan Dahal directed horror drama Kagbeni. Maske has also appeared in the horror film 'Ek Din Ek Raat' along with another actress Menuka Pradhan . This movie made in 2011 is directed by Dev Kumar Shrestha. 

Apart from Dev Kumar's film, Menuka Pradhan can also be seen in Pasang Lama's 'Zhigrana' -2015_ and Araj Keshav Giri's Jalo' (2018). Before Jalo, Namrata Shrestha has also worked in Dinesh Raut's horror film Parva in 2017. Actress Richa Sharma has also worked in her own horror drama 'Sunkeshari'-2018_ and Rajaharshi Day's Bengali thriller 'Maya'-2023_. 

2023 Ian Scott Clement's psycho thriller 'Basenji', along with senior actress Mithila Sharma, new generation actress Samapika Gautam is also seen in Nepali movie 'Basenji'. Actress Gautam is also seen with Suraksha Pant in the thrilling teaser of the upcoming movie 'Khel' which was released recently. Suraksha has also previously worked in horror movie 'Ghar' -2019_ directed by Arpan Thapa. Basenji director Ian Scott has already directed the Nepali movie 'Mango Pickle' in 2020. In which the great actress of the theater Sarita Giri can be seen . 

Similarly, actress Priyanka Karki will also be seen in the horror film 'Mommy' directed by Samar Niraula. In the teaser of the film, along with Karki, the actress of 'Kagbeni' Dia Maske can be seen .
