Film workers against the decision to make mandatory registration in two organizations before showing the film

The meeting of the working group of the two organizations has decided to make mandatory registration with the Movie Association and the Producers Association before showing the film. This decision was taken by the task force of the umbrella organization of Hall and Producers on Tuesday. However, the filmmakers are standing against this decision.

The filmmakers who have been following the binding rules of the Censor Board do not seem to be rushing to these organizations before the screening of the film. Especially before making a film, the production team has to get a recommendation from the Film Development Board. There is a separate mess of trimming on the sensor board before display. According to the filmmakers, reaching these two organizations to show them in the film hall that they have spent a long time working in the creative field has become another problem.  Director Manoj Pandit says that when

is becoming more powerful than the organization, the organization has made such a binding rule to weaken the filmmakers and demonstrate their power over them. 'The state has enforced censor on the film. Now the association is also trying to impose its own kind of censorship on filmmakers . The filmmakers now have to face not only the state but also the censorship of the association. Which we are not going to accept,' said the director Pandit, 'They have made such a decision to assert their dominance because only those who do not understand what is law, what is dignity, what is film are in politics . A crowd of people who don't understand that film is an artistic product, and who want to place themselves in the center of politics, sometimes apply such syndicate rules . They do not understand that such a rule will not succeed.'

Pandit adds that it is a non-sensitive issue to create rules that put them in trouble by organizations that were opened for the benefit of filmmakers. "Organizations formed for the benefit of the workers and creators of the film sector have forgotten the democratic process and are forced to implement mandatory rules like the state." This in itself is insensitive. "They are bringing forward the controlling thinking organization to show their power by leaving to work for the benefit of the creator," he said.

Gopalkaji Kayastha, who was selected as the coordinator of the working group from the film association, says that they have reached such a decision to resolve the dispute between producers and distributors. "The distributor should have registered the film before screening the film in the film association. If the film is not registered in the association, it will not be played in the theaters, so it is mandatory to register . From now on, it has been decided to register with the Film Association only after taking the recommendation of the Producers' Association,' said Kayastha, 'Meanwhile, there have been many problems between the producers and the hall regarding non-payment of money. We have made this decision to reduce that problem.' Five members participated in the

task force from producers and film associations. Udaya Subba was the coordinator from Producers Association and Kayastha himself from Movie Association. Deepakraj Giri, Rambabu Gurung, Sunil Kumar Thapa and others were present on behalf of the producer association. Similarly, Surendra Thapa, Kapil Prasad Dwa, Chabi Ojha and Prajwal Shamsher Jabra were present on behalf of the Movie Association.

Producer Ramkrishna Pokhrel has protested saying that this decision of two organizations has discouraged young and independent filmmakers active in the creative field . It seems that this decision of the Producers Association and Film Association was taken only for the production of Syndicate. They have never been able to do progressive things. The new voice in the film industry is only going to suppress the new choice,' Pokhrel wrote on the social network Facebook, 'now it is time for everyone to stand together and raise their voices in favor of their freedom of speech in terms of filmmakers in this nation.'

Painter Sulakshan Bharti is also of the opinion that there should not be such restrictions in the field of art. Art and literature should be free from politics. By building any power center, the state power should not curb it like this,' Bharti has written in opposition to the decision. Udaya Subba, who was chosen as the coordinator on behalf of the producers union in the working group, is of the opinion that such a decision was taken to reduce the unhealthy competition in the film industry.

'Producers and film associations already had such a rule . However, many films were made in between. There was an unhealthy competition between those films, quality films were not made. When this happens, the manufacturer incurs a loss . We have taken a decision with the aim of understanding the filmmakers and come to film production.
