The blurred memories of mother Agni Kumari with Kedar Ghimire, who made the public introduction of Magne Budha, are in the Smriti album. When he turns the pages of that album, he gets fond memories of his mother Agni Kumari and after her death, he found his younger sister Sania, who was raised with the same love. Coincidentally, his second mother's name was also Agni Kumari.
Both of these mothers are equally revered for Kedar and just remembering both of their names makes his heart skip a beat. The few days after the death of his mother were very difficult for Kedar. If someone did something, the friends would say, 'I will tell my mother.' At that time, Kedar would say to himself, 'My friends will tell my mother, who will I tell?' He did not have an answer to this question. But after Ba got married again, this question never bothered him . Because she found a mother who gave equal love and motherhood.
Even now, Kedar feels that only his worries are stuck on his mother's face. After 20 years, his mother was worried, 'When will we get married?' When Kedar reached home from Kathmandu, she would always ask, 'Shouldn't we get married?' Kedar got married in 1956. It was the mother who brought the daughter-in-law into the house. "At that time, the mother was very happy," says Kedar.
Mother used to get along very well with daughter-in-law Sita Devi. They were more like friends than mother-in-law. But after 2 years of bringing in her daughter-in-law, her mother also left her. While in the hospital bed, Agni Kumari said to Sita Devi, "You will be fine now". Everything will be fine . He shined in artistry . His character 'Magne Budha' became famous from the popular comedy teleserial 'Meri Bassai'. In the film too, there was no turning back from 'Chha Ekan Chha'. Through artistry, he made his poor economic condition clear. He thinks, "Being good in the field of art was a blessing from my mother."
After years passed, Mother Agnikumari came to her in a dream one night. She gave her blessing and said, "Your crying is over". Now you will never have to cry.' Kedar thinks that what the mother said is getting along. During the
film shooting, there are sometimes scenes of mother-son relationship. At that time, Kedar is in unbearable pain . A scene had to be shot during the filming of the first series of 'Chakka Panja'. Kedar is leaving his mother who has TB and is going abroad . While doing that scene, Kedar's eyes filled . He couldn't . The tears were not supposed to come, but they kept coming . He could not even take 10 takes. Not only me, those in the team also did not have a mother. They also started crying,' recalls Kedar .
Speaking for Kantipur's weekly mother column, Kedar Ghimire not only unraveled many riddles of memories connected with mothers, but also told many parables and memories about why mothers are important for children and why their memory keeps haunting them after their death. And the more interesting thing is that he has said in detail about the context of his mother's photo.
