With the aim of promoting the Nepali film industry and supporting the tourism development of Karnali Province, the 'Second Karnali International Film Festival' is going to start from February 24.
This festival, organized by Red Cherry Media, has mentioned that the natural beauty, cultural diversity and tourism potential of Karnali will be introduced to the world by promoting the slogan of 'Ghumaun Karnali, Heroun Karnali'. According to
festival director Chakra Bahadur Chand, the Karnali festival is also planning to organize a 'Rara Film Tourism and Climate Change Summit' to cover the issue of climate change along with the plan to bring the historical and cultural importance of this region to the national and international level. According to the organizers, the
festival will include film screenings, workshops, interactions and award ceremonies. Also, actor Pradeep Khadka and actress Suraksha Pant have been roped in as goodwill ambassadors for the festival.
