Director Sarita Shah's 'Siya' and Razila Shrestha's 'Chhesang: The Untold Story' have won special awards at the IWERT. The Nepal Chapter of IWRT-IVRT (International Association of Women in Radio and Television), an organization of women journalists associated with radio and television, organized the 'Fifth Short Film Competition-2024' on Saturday and distributed awards to women filmmakers.

Jyotsana Singh Thakuri's 'The Call' won the award this year in this competition, which has been organized for five years. Communication and Information Technology Minister Prithvi Subba presented the award to the winner. Five short films were shown in the

program. Anupa Shrestha, Rakshasingh Rana, Abiral Thapa and others were among the judges of this competition. A special performance of 'Yatra Rocking' by Everest climber Kalpana Maharjan was also performed in the

program. This time the honor was given to the director Mejakan Upreti Rauniyar for making a significant contribution to the film industry .
