If there is any film-related award given at the national level in Nepal, it is the National Film Award and Honor. The President himself has been handing over this award, which will be distributed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, organized by the Film Development Board. Ironically, this award, which is distributed by the hand of the President, is always drawn into controversy. The same thing happened this year!

This time the award was given in three main subjects . Special honors, category awards and honors to those who have made an incomparable contribution to the film industry. There are no complaints from filmmakers in these honors. Some filmmakers are raising questions about the

awards. Director Dipendra Lama has written that it is a gross injustice not to give an award to 'Jari' in any category for best film, direction, screenplay, actor, actress, cinematography and editing. ' Not only the director Dipendra, some filmmakers and film lovers are raising questions about the 'National Film Awards and Awards'. 

The critically-acclaimed 'Zaari' was awarded the Best Commercial Film award at the award show . Producer Rambabu Gurung took the stage to receive the award through the film. Raised the trophy as well.  Like 'Jari', 'Bulaaki', which raised the issue of continuing tradition, won not only the best film, but also the award for writing/story and screenplay .
