The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has indicated that the first edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will be broadcast by the famous sports channel Star Sports. Brand Logic reported that Star Sports Network has taken the strategic and commercial rights of NPL for broadcasting rights.

According to Brand Logic, Indian sports channel Star Sports Network is in final stage discussions for broadcasting rights. Roshan Niraula, Chief Executive Officer of Logic, said that discussions with Star Sports for the broadcast rights of NPL are progressing positively and results will be forthcoming soon.

He said, 'Nepali cricket fans are always concerned about the broadcast quality of the game, we are very conscious about improving the experience of the fans who love Nepali cricket. Good production and broadcasting of the game is very important to our goal of making the NPL a world-class league, which is why we were in discussions with an experienced company in world-class production and broadcasting. The discussion with Star Sports has reached the final stage and we will announce the positive results soon.'

Star Sports is one of the most watched sports channels worldwide, which will not only limit NPL within Nepal but also reach the international audience including South Asia, Brand Logic believes.
