Tenth National Sports: Three cricket grounds are ready

According to the Karnali Pradesh Sports Council, two fields built in Birendranagar have been put into operation. Women's and men's cricket tournament will be organized in two fields built at a distance of 700 meters.

The women's cricket ground has been prepared with an indoor training hall and an outdoor training pitch. A cricket ground of 65 meters radius has been dug up and kept ready. A 22 yard cricket pitch has been made in the field. Abhiyan Construction has built this ground at a cost of Rs 459 lakh 80 thousand.

The men's cricket ground at Kalinchok was built at a cost of 73 lakh 18 thousand rupees. An agreement was signed with KPDD Construction on December 15 last year. A 70 meter radius has been planted in this field. A 22-yard pitch is made on the field. The name of the men's cricket ground is 8848 and the women's cricket ground is +997, according to the Provincial Sports Council. Various competitions including Chief Minister's Cricket have been held in that ground.

Similarly, 5 million rupees have been spent for the Chaurjahari cricket ground under construction in Rukum West. Gherbara work is left on the ground. It is said that it will be used as a training ground.

Sports activities could not be regularized in Karnali due to lack of physical infrastructure for sports. Mr. KC, President of the District Cricket Association, said that the rapid development of the structure has also helped the internal business of the players. Bishwamitra Sanjyal, Member-Secretary of the Provincial Sports Development Council, says that after the construction of three cricket grounds with facilities in Karnali, Karnali will be a cricket training center along with Karnali tournament.
