Ghale Habresting Club of Lapu has won the title of volleyball tournament held in Dharche Rural Municipality-5 Gumda. Ghale Habresting won 70 thousand rupees along with the trophy.
Manaslu Yuva Club of Dharche-5 came second and volleyball team of Ajirkot Rural Municipality came third. The second and third teams received Rs 45,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. Coordinator Meen Bahadur Sunar said that 22 teams participated in the competition.
Ulajung Yuva Club of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality became the winner in women's volleyball tournament. Bahrumule Youth Club came second and the host club came third. First, second and third won trophies with 20, 15 and 10 thousand rupees respectively. On the women's side, only three teams were competitive.
Gumda Ekta Youth Club and Thamra Dharche Youth Club held a competition on the occasion of Alu Mela. In the folk dance competition held on the same occasion, Sushmita Sunar of Dharche-5 won first place, Purnima Gurung of Barpak Sulikot came second and Susmina Gurung of Dharche-5 Yamgaon came third.
Phulmaya Gurung, former vice president of Dharche Rural Municipality, Bhimprasad Gurung, ward president of Ward 5, and Manuraj Gurung, president of the club, distributed the prizes to the winners.
