In memory of the founder of the Armed Police Force, Inspector General of Police Krishna Mohan Shrestha and his religious wife Nudup Shrestha, a salik will be unveiled at Chainpur of Sankhuwa Sabha.
Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal unveiled the salik on Tuesday. Salik is in the cumin point of Chainpur.
Inspector General Aryal said Shrestha was simple, calm and fearless. Shalik paid tribute to the armed police during the unveiling. The unveiling program is organized by Krishnamohan Nudup Memorial Foundation, Chainpur.
Salik was built with the help of about 6 lakhs of Chainpur Municipality. The first Inspector General of the Armed Police, Shrestha, was killed on 12 January 2059. Before his murder, the then rebel Maoists damaged a house in Chainpur by blowing up a bomb.
The Armed Police Force was established in 2058 under the leadership of Shrestha.
