Mahananda Sahitya Samman-2025 has been awarded to writer Kumar Nagarkoti. The Mahananda Sapkota Sahitya Puraskar Guthi was established in Dallas, Texas, to recognize literary figures who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the Nepali language.

The award is presented annually in Kathmandu by Guthi through the International Nepali Literature Society Dallas. According to Guthi President Sita Sapkota, the decision to award the award was made in 2013.

The program organized at the Studio Theater to celebrate the 128th birth anniversary of language activist Mahananda Sapkota shed light on Guthi, and the program host Biplav Prateek informed that the award has already been presented to Basanta Thapa, Govinda Varthaman, Durgalal Shrestha, Kishore Nepal, Kiran Kharel, Nepal Shiksha Parishad, Shankar Phago, Maya Thakuri, and Rajendra Bimal.
