Businessmen, private sector organizations and political parties have announced financial assistance and relief to those affected by the floods and landslides in various parts of the country due to continuous heavy rains.

Residents of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Makwanpur, Kavre, Dhading, Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, Panchthar, Dhankuta, Udaipur, Solukhumbu, Ilam, Mahottari and Saptari are affected by the floods. 

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has announced that it will provide Rs 1 crore to the flood victims. In the virtual meeting held on Sunday, the officials of the association decided to provide 1 million rupees for the immediate flood victims in the first phase, said Badri KC, president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association. He said that after the official meeting, an emergency joint meeting of the National Coordinating Council and the International Coordinating Council will be held and further discussions will be held on collecting support.

Motilal Dugad, the coordinator of the social service center, says that the social service center is working to absorb the financial losses that have occurred in the Kathmandu Valley and across the country.

Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going to give a relief amount of Rs. The federation issued a press release on Monday and said that it has decided to provide relief money at the rate of one lakh rupees to the most affected districts through the District Industry and Commerce Association. The federation has also expressed grief over the loss of life and property in various parts of the country due to the incessant rain since October 10. It is said that the money will be used for relief through the district industrial and commercial associations, members of the federation.

Citizens Bank has contributed 25 lakh rupees to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Prabaljung Pandey, president of the bank, handed over the check of the said amount to Acting Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh during a program held at the Ministry of Urban Development on Sunday.

With the aim of providing relief to those who have been affected by the rains, the bank has provided this support as part of its social responsibility. The bank has also earlier contributed Rs 1 crore to the fund for the victims of the 072 earthquake. The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has said that it will work hand in hand with the government to help the citizens affected by the floods.
